Gus Garcia
Director of Business Development
Biggest Prankster
Nickname: Juan Draper
Why did you join the BLM crew? What drew you to the business?
All I remember was waking up naked and bruised in a tub full of ice with no recollection of the night before. My name was signed to a piece of paper and now I buy media.
What is your favorite part of coming to BLM everyday?
The people, the service and the good vibes that bring it all together. Different backgrounds, one perspective.
What do you most enjoy about being on the BLM team?
The retreats are pretty awesome. Oh and working with Kendall is THE BEST!
Who would you cast to play you in a movie about your life? What genre would it be?
A genetically modified, smooth and even blend of Kevin Spacey and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. That, or the guy that plays Don Draper.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be? Why?
The ability to bring Harambe back. Oh and Dwyane Wade, too. Because.
What word would you add to the dictionary? What does it mean?
Kendalled (past tense). Example: "I was on the far right and needed to cross 3 lanes to make a left turn. As I quickly approached my turn, I saw a small opening and Kendalled everyone in plain daylight."
What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
I was more of a "Let's tie a skateboard to the back of a bicycle, take corners as fast as we can and hope we don’t die" type of kid.
How do they get the deer to cross at that yellow road sign?
There aren't many deer in South Florida, and if you do see one, it will probably already be crossing the street since jaywalking is kind of a thing down here.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A stand-up comedian... looks like I came close.
Where can we find you when you aren’t at BLM?
I plead the 5th. (That's actually the name of a cool hipster bar downtown.)
You're stuck in the woods for three days, do you survive?
I survived Hurricane Irma on a family pack of Belvitas and a 21 year old bottle of Scotch... what do you think?
If you weren’t working for BLM, what would you be doing?
Stand-up comedy
